Language in the GCSE Maths classroom
Jenny Stacey taught maths in an East Midlands FE college from 2004 until 2022. She has taught Key Skills, Basic Skills, ESOL maths, Functional Skills, and GCSE to adults and 16- to 18-year-olds, including ESOL/EAL students, both in separate classes and mixed in with EFL students. Currently she is employed as an Associate Lecturer at Sheffield Hallam University.
Jenny gained a MEd 2014 and completing a Doctorate in Education in 2024. She has been involved in a number of freelance projects for exam boards and the British Council ESOL Nexus website.
